Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.

Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
Submission of Paper
The paper will only be considered for publication if it has not been written anywhere else. The author must agree not to publish elsewhere a paper submitted or accepted by Trench. An originality detection service may be used to check your manuscript to verify its originality. All papers will be subjected to review by the reviewers.
Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscript online. Once you have prepared your manuscript according to the instructions below, please visit the online submission web site.
Author Guidelines
The article can be written in Bahasa Indonesia (Bahasa) or English. For English paper, use either British or American spelling, not a combination of both. The paper should be checked thoroughly for spelling and grammar.
The manuscript must be prepared at 1.5 spacing on A4 paper. All pages should be numbered. The length of the paper should be between 5000 and 8000 words, including abstracts, references, tables, and illustrations. You can download the template here Trench Template-2024
Title Page
The title page must include:
- Title of article
- The author’s full name
- The author’s affiliation and institution (just note that independent researchers may omit these details)
- Author’s e-mail address
Abstract
- The abstract must be within 150 to 250 words.
- Abstracts must include research purpose, methodology, types of data, analysis, findings, and a simple conclusion.
- The abstract must adhere to the language selected by the author.
- The abstract must contain a maximum of five keywords.
Text
- The article can be written in either Bahasa Indonesia (Bahasa) or English. The author has the option to select one of the two languages.
- Text submitted must be original and not have been published in any media, whether printed or online.
- Articles should be between 5000 and 8000 words in length, including abstract, bodynotes, appendices, and references.
- The text should be submitted as Microsoft Word document in 10 point Times New Roman font, 1.5 space apart.
Images
- Images, tables, figures should be inserted in the text, not at the end of the paper. Images should be high-resolution (240 dpi or above).
- Every images, maps, or photograph must have an attribution at the end of the caption. Typically, this is in the form of (Source: Photo/Map by Name, Year).
- If you own or created the image, just put your name as source and the year the image was created. (Source: Photo by Author, 2024.)
- Use ‘Figure’ or “Figures” when they appear within the text.
Acknowledgements
- Acknowledgements can be dedicated to the funding agency, faculty, or department that contributed to the writing of the article (optional).
References
- References should follow American Psychological Association (APA) style (7th Edition).
- The number of references must surpass 18, which includes references from journals.
- The document must include complete information and the latest references.
- Every work cited must be included in the References section.
